Cyclerides.com Weekly Update
4/18/18

Greetings Riders,

If you missed the newsletter last week with video from the Mayor's Run riding through Cardinals Stadium, Luke Air Force Base and ISM Raceway, Click Here to View.

As the old saying goes, "That's a wrap!" All of the events surrounding Arizona Bike Week are now officially over and we can all get back to our regularly scheduled programming. I personally spent all of my time helping out with Phoenix Bikefest, but I heard reports and saw pictures from ABW and Cave Creek that reinforced what we already knew at PBF, that there were a lot of motorcycles in town enjoying the great weather we had this past week. That is, except for the mortal enemy of the outdoor festival, WIND! It blew down the Saloon Banner on the side of the PBF Ride Through Experience twice on each side. It just didn't like the 35-45 mph winds that we were getting. But at least the temperatures were moderate to make it more enjoyable.

As I mentioned, there were a lot of bikes riding through the PBF Ride Through Experience and a huge crowd on Saturday enjoying the live music with Combo Deluxe and Skarlett Fever, shopping the vendors and hanging out at the Tiki Bar. The event is really growing and it was a fun time had by all. Click Here for some Photos. It is fun watching the bikes ride through the Tiki Bar. Here is a short video showing the bikes riding through, Combo Deluxe in action and people in the Tiki Bar. You might see yourself! Click Here to View. Fun Video! There were some cool bikes at the PBF 2018 Bike Show. Click Here for a short video of the Bike Show.

There is no doubt that ZZ Top is a biker favorite. Check out this very impressive drone photo of the ZZ Top concert at Arizona Bike Week Saturday night. I looked on Facebook, but I have no photos of Cave Creek on Saturday, but I heard it was really busy as well at the Buddy Stubbs Bash on Saturday.

The Cyclerides.com Bike Night on Friday night was one of the busiest in a few years with non stop bikes come through most of the night. Click Here for Photos. Just a reminder, Bike Night will be on Friday nights for the rest of the season through June 1st. Live Music this week with the "Visitors". Click Here for a short Video of last week.

Overall, I think it was a great year for Arizona Bike Week, Phoenix Bikefest and all of the events happening around town during this time. I am looking forward to next year.

This Saturday around 8:00 a.m. Mrs. C. and I are going to take a ride to the Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park just South of Yarnell, AZ. We are planning to do the almost 6 mile round trip hike to at least the Observation Deck. Our plan is to watch "Only the Brave" (see trailer), the movie about the Granite Mountain Hotshots before we go to learn as much about them as possible. I am excited to go pay my respects to these brave men and will give you a full report on the trip in the newsletter next week. If you are in the area, stop by.

Watch for updates and "Like" the Cyclerides.com Facebook Page. Also see recent posts, photos and video from Bike Night on the FB page.

Please Ride Safe!
